Olie the Goalie is the superb backstop sitting behind an excellent
Washington defence. He is a natural team leader, and although his numbers don't
look too good, he makes saves so spectacular that even commentators can't
describe them. He was AHL MVP in 1994 with Calder Cup champions Portland.
He looks good, and he is good.
The only thing Olaf has in a nationality problem. Bizarrely, he's the only South African NHL player, but he plays for the German national team! |
